Melanie sparked an interest in the fashion and entertainment industry. She came to Starbound at 11 years old and headed to IMTA LA to pursue a career in acting. Soon after, Melanie realized she was born to model. In her teenage years, Melanie participated in local modeling showcases and workshops, building her portfolio and perfecting her runway walk. She came back to Starbound with a new fire, ready to take the industry by storm.
This past April, Melanie went on our Miami Models Tour and is now signed with an agency in South Beach!
Melanie had her first real taste of the model life in Miami when she received a photoshoot from one of the industry’s top photographers, Marc Tousignant, and his professional hair and make up team. Melanie impressed the photographer and he let her know she was one of the best models he has ever seen! Her modeling experience continued when she went on go-sees with the top agencies in South Beach. The agencies LOVED her!
We were able to ask Melanie a few questions:
Q: What made you want to be a model?
A: I LOVE being in front of a camera and I hope to inspire other curvy girls to love their bodies the way I love mine.
Q: What is your dream modeling job?
A: My dream modeling job would be anything high fashion editorial that you wouldn’t expect a plus side model to be in. I would also love to be a Torrid model.
